Designed in the vast expanse of the desert area of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the project explores transitory dwelling for workers in a nearby Resort.
In the context of traditional residential architecture, the building evolves around central gathering space - typically, a courtyard. Having in mind the activities of the workers' daily life, incorporating aspects of service as well as temporary living, our aim was to merge them with traditional spatial disposition.

As the fluctuation of the workers happens on a daily basis, we envisioned passages, along central gathering area - this time explored as a closed space.

Due to the climatical conditions, the building has two facades with no windows nor doors. Moreover, we kept passages for natural fluctuation of air as well.
