In the course of shaping materials, objects are crafted by adding or removing - it is through the process of sculpting, that they have been given use and meaning.
In an attempt to evoke history, a specific moment in time, we used 19th century fireplaces as inspiration. Having in mind the placement they had in homes, the piece is a conduit for expressing human emotions, beliefs and experiences.
